Laurie Ferguson - On the grass

I have just read Laurie's first speech to Parliament. In Laurie's 1990 speech we find this,
"In fact these apologists are attempting to legitimise the naked power and authority of management."
I think that Laurie sees Kim as management and himself as worker and he just has to be diametrically opposed to management as a matter of course. He does this despite humanity, logic and justice. He's made himself a placard and he's gone on strike.

It looks like Kim's going to cross a picket line to sack his Minister for Immigration of 239 days.

Beazley is still so half arsed about it though. Apparently he is keeping lucky fergo up front and the bungling fool wants another portfolio like- no shit- multicultural affairs.

Unbelievable isn't it!
Kim needs to squeeze his entire arse into this job mp if we are to have any sort of opposition.
As for the portfolio of multicultural affairs...if lucky fergo can't manage it we'll grab one of his constituents as...
"Of Australia's 148 seats, Reid made the first 20 for persons born overseas and residents of less than five years. It had nine times the national average of Muslims. It was in the first 10 seats for South East Asian migrants. Of overseas born residents, Lebanese and Turks were nine times more prevalent, Poles and Russians twice as prevalent and Vietnamese four times as prevalent as the national average."

Can anyone say "shuffling the deckchairs on the Titanic"? Another washed up ALP leader with a slightly shuffled washed up cabinet. New blood is what they need. New blood and a massive big kick in the arse policy-wise.
